Teluk Kuantan City Kuantan Singingi Regency was awarded Adipura in 2017. Kuantan Singingi Regent, Drs, H Mursini, M.Si received directly Adipura award submitted by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Darmin Nasution on 2 August 2017 at Plaza Ir Soejono Manggala Wanabakti Jakarta.

Adipura award 2017 also accompanied by the President of Indonesia Joko Widodo and the Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya. In addition to the award Adipura at the event was also awarded Kalpataru 2017, Adiwiyata 2017, and Nirwasita.

The Adipura award is an environmental award given to districts / municipalities that are considered to have succeeded in realizing a clean, shady, healthy and sustainable city by applying the principles of good governance. The plan of Adipura 2017 will be paraded in TelukKuantan City on August 5, 2017.

Before reaching the 2016 Adipura trophy, Regent Mursini and head of regional apparatus organization (OPD) held an expose before the Adipura assessment team in 2017 at Sultan Hotel Jakarta on June 9, 2017. In Kuantan Singingi exposure, Kuansing's strategic geo vision, vision and mission of Kuansing, vision of mission related to environmental protection and management and policy and program of implementation of sustainable development and environmental development.

Meanwhile, besides given to TelukKuantan City, Kuansing Regency, Adipura award in 2017 is also given to 15 other districts / cities namely Depok City, West Java. Muntilan City, Magelang Regency, Central Java. Kota Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, Toboali City, South Bangka Regency of South Sumatra.

Then, Marabahan City, Barito Kuala District, South Kalimantan. Subang City, Subang Regency, West Java. Kota Koba, Central Bangka Regency of Bangka Belitung Islands. City of Muara Bungo, Regency of Bungo, Jambi. City of Kajen, Regency of Pekalongan, Central Java. City of Kuala Kapuas, Kapuas District, Central Kalimantan. Suwawa City, Bone Bolango District, Gorontalo. Luwuk City, Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi. City of Padang, West Sumatera. City of Sawahlunto, Sawahlunto.
